ELTRA GmbH has over 30 years of experience in the construction of elemental analyzers for the determination of the carbon, sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen content in metals. Several analyzers have been specially optimized for in-process analyses and final quality control of metal products.
Carbon / Sulfur Analyzer Elementrac CS-i
Because the elemental content of carbon and sulfur greatly influences the hardness and workability of materials such as steel and titanium, their precise elemental analysis is important for medical products.
The powerful induction furnace of the CS-i melts all kinds of inorganic samples in a pure oxygen atmosphere at temperatures above 2,000 °C while up to four independent infrared cells with flexible measuring ranges precisely determine the sulfur and carbon content.
OXYGEN / NITROGEN / HYDROGEN ANALYZER ONH-p
Hydrogen embrittlement is a significant danger in the composition of steel and titan materials. The ONH-p works with an impulse furnace, reaching temperatures above 3,000°C, and allows to simultaneously determine the oxygen/nitrogen or oxygen/hydrogen content with the inert gas fusion technique.
Elemental analysis in the analyzer is carried out via infrared cells and a sensitive thermal conductivity cell. A furnace with wider opening is available as an option. This guarantees reliable results, even for large samples with light weights (e.g. stents).
Surface Carbon Analyzer SurfaceC-800
Carbon occurs as bound in a material (total carbon) but is also found on the surface of materials (surface carbon). Process water or oil can contaminate the surface of a product thus preventing or impeding further processing such as painting/varnishing.
The SurfaceC-800 is equipped with an XXL sample drop mechanism, allowing for reliable analysis also of large sample pieces.
